Meet The Bernholt Family

David and Dani's story begins with a move from Memphis, Tennessee, for David's new role at the University of Cincinnati. Dani, originally from St. Louis, and David, who grew up two hours north of Cincinnati, are excited to be closer to family again. They enjoy raising their two little ones, ages two and four, who both keep their days busy. In between toddler chaos and family time, Dani sneaks in tennis when she can, while David builds his bourbon and wine collection.

I called Oyler Hines after having a mediocre experience with another firm. I told the receptionist, "Hey, I am buying from far away, I need someone who knows Cincinnati like the back of their hand and can help me find the perfect house without knowing one thing about the city." She told me, "I know exactly who you should use." She was a 100% right. Laura Wogen knows absolutely everything, is incredibly responsive, and made me feel comfortable buying a house through FaceTime. To this day, I ask her for her knowledge and resources, and she is always happy to help me out.

When I was introduced to Laura, I knew I found a great fit, someone who could guide us through a stressful, time-sensitive move, with two little kids in tow and no familiarity with the city. She immediately made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. 

What made you move?

David started a new orthopedic sports medicine practice at The University of Cincinnati. We are also both from the Midwest and wanted to move back to raise our kids.

What was the best part of your moving experience?

Honestly, Laura. She made everything so easy. She answered every call, every text, answered every question, and validated all my concerns. She was an excellent sounding board and helped us learn quickly where we wanted to live and what type of home would fit with that picture. Moving is always tough, but she made the buying process as easy and as enjoyable as it could have been.

Do you have any moving tips?

Have realistic expectations, stay organized, and purge as you are packing so you don't have to do it afterwards!
